For the first time in history, this year we saw the Lady Mayor’s Show on 8th November. Reserves and Cadets from the region joined the oldest and longest civic procession in the world.

The 697th Lord Mayor of London is Dame Susan Langley DBE, of the Aldgate ward. She is only the third woman to hold the post in over 800 years, and the first ever to be titled the ‘Lady Mayor of London’.

This year, thirty members of 256 (City of London and South East) Multi-Role Medical Regiment showcased their unique role in the Lady Mayor’s Show. Their display demonstrates the full spectrum of medical support: from Role One battlefield care to Role Three surgical capability. Visitors saw a Battlefield Ambulance for casualty evacuation, and a MAN Truck transformed into a mobile surgical operating theatre.

What makes their display special?

They created striking outfits that were half Army uniform and half surgical scrubs, symbolising the dual identity of their soldiers as both combat-ready and clinically skilled. Designing these took weeks of planning and tailoring to ensure they reflect the precision and professionalism of their Regiment.
