Best Cadet in London Award

Cdt RSM Sam Gill, Head of Corps at Caterham School CCF, has been awarded the Max Karo Award for the Best Cadet in London. The award is offered by the London Stock Exchange Group, and in July RSM Gill, with his family and officers of the unit, attended a ceremony at the London Stock Exchange in the City of London where a splendid trophy was presented by Brig Gary McDade, Deputy Commander Cadets.

After the ceremony, the RSM was invited to press the button that ended the week’s trading on the exchange. RSM Gill is a Master Cadet, Cambrian Patrol Gold Medallist and ‘Best Commander’ on Cambrian 2024.

Community Cadet of the Year

On Thursday 29th May the first ever winner of the London District Army Cadet Force Community Cadet Of The Year was invited to Horse Guards to share in a celebration of her outstanding achievements

After receiving her award from the Deputy Commander of HQ London District Brigadier Sam Cates, Cadet CSgt Gjoka from Barking and Dagenham took centre stage to take the salute for the Brigade Major’s Review of Trooping The Colour on Horse Guards Parade. As she looks to move forward with her cadets journey we wish her every success.

Major General’s Cadet Award
Major General James Bowder OBE, General Officer Commanding London District and Major General Household Division, presented Cdt Sgt Maj Erturk with her award, a personally inscribed ceremonial drill cane, kindly donated by Mr Tommy Dalman of AMMO & Co. This was followed by tea with The Major General. As part of Cadet Erturk’s role as Major General’s Cadet she will attend a range of ceremonial events across the year, and we look forward to following her journey.
