City analysts have pitted their problem-solving skills against each other in a competition designed to bring business and military intelligence together.
This year we saw the face-to-face return of the British Army’s Intelligence Corps 3MI Battalion’s Intelligence Challenge, supported by Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association for Greater London, after a pause since 2019.
Five teams from City organisations took part in the annual Intelligence Challenge, by practising military-style analysis. These companies had a chance to experience first-hand how transferable skills gained in the armed forces can benefit a business.
Teams were from 4C Associates, BNY Mellon, HFW, Turner & Townsend and the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals and it was fascinating to see how these organisations with their own experiences approached the challenge so differently. It demonstrated the diversity of thought and process from Reservists which all contributes to a more effective UK Defence output.
HFW claimed The Intelligence Challenge Trophy engraved with the Intelligence Corps motto Manui Dat Cognitio Vires – Knowledge Gives Strength to the Arm.
Congratulations also go to BNY Mellon’s team for coming in as runner-up. Well Done!
