My second year in post has certainly been different to the first, with no opportunity at all for physical activities or simple face to face contact at events.
Key Achievements For 2020
We championed our Cadets, promoted the role of Reservists, secured the support of employers, provided safe and well managed places to work and train, and won the hearts and minds of communities.
At times of crisis, the government often calls upon the military to contribute to the national response due to their specialist skill-set and equipment. This is called Military Aid to Civil Authorities or ‘MACA’.

The 7 RIFLES Battlegroup was formed up of Reservists from 7 RIFLES and
5 FUSILIERS, both of which are in the 20th Armoured Infantry Brigade.
Our role is to encourage employers to support our Reservists, Veterans and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers through the Armed Forces Covenant and the Employer Recognition Scheme.
Renewing the Covenant in the Capital
In 2018, ‘Renewing the Covenant in the Capital’, an Armed Forces Covenant funded project, began working with HQ London District to improve the understanding and delivery of the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC) within local authorities across London.
